Chilewich Pet Mats

If I had a cat who didn’t insist on upending his bowls to remove anything obtrusive that might be under them. Or perhaps a dog who didn’t clean the kitchen like a Hoover at every possible moment. Maybe then I would get one of these modern pet mats from Chilewich.

Pour

Holton Rower’s Pour series is magical eye candy. Every multi-dimensional plywood and acrylic piece looks like a cracked open jawbreaker and a topography map all rolled into one.

Chocolate by Design

When it comes to design, chocolatiers seem to know what’s what. Maybe it’s because making chocolate is an artform it itself, so they can appreciate great graphics. Or perhaps they just know what sort of look is going to sell their product and represent their brand best. Whatever the case, they know that a good presentation is everything. Here are a few of my favorites that I’ve spotted lately.

mociun

Every piece in mociun’s jewelry collection is incredible. But then you notice that one little thing that makes you realize how much conceptual thinking went into it all. Like the necklace with the intentionally missing stone in the setting. Or the diamond earrings that have a silver diamond cut stone instead of a rock. Smart. Smart. Smart.

Issima Collection

Not only am I in love with this color palette, I’m in lust with what it brings to the shiny lacquered world of the Issima Collection. Show stopping candleholders, vases, bowls, and diffusers in the prettiest of hues. {via Design Milk}

Rainbow Quilt

Dare I say the quilting world is in danger? I desperately want to make this rainbow quilt (AKA wedding quilt) and have never used a needle and thread without drawing blood. Not always my own, but still. The Purl Bee has excellent instructions for me (and you) on how to make this bad boy, should we gather all our courage.

A Sequence of Lines Traced by 500 Individuals

A Sequence of Lines Traced by Five Hundred Individuals from clement valla on Vimeo.

A Sequence of Lines Traced by Five Hundred Individuals is an online drawing tool that lets users do just one thing – trace a line. Each new user only sees the latest line drawn, and can therefore only trace this latest imperfect copy. As the line is reproduced over and over, it changes and evolves – kinks, trembling motions and errors are exaggerated through the process.

I love how the acceleration resembles a lightning storm. {via kottke}

Shamrock Shake

PHOTO: Babble

Did you know that you can’t get Shamrock Shakes at every McDonald’s? Most people I’ve met here in Oklahoma have no clue what they are. Because St.Patrick’s Day is only 21 days away, and because my name is Kelly, and because this looks delicious I give you this copycat version.

Collector Plate

The tongue-in-cheekness of the Collector Plate makes me smile. And the type and flourishes are swell, too.

P Watch

Monochrome magic is the way to this girl’s heart. Loving Nixon’s Time Teller P Watch in candy apple red.
