Happy Weekend.

This week I’m loving…

I always use the monthly desktop calendar from Simple Blueprint – Joanna’s sister Josefina has the best style!

Not that I have a ton of it, but I’d love to put together a few of these DIY ribbon organizers

I think I might be handing out both these shortbread buttons and this sweet postcard come Valentine’s Day

I’ve never seen paint cans look this good and I’m willing to bet you haven’t either!

A few more Alt Summit recaps…

Download this pretty garland and start decorating for V-Day!

A great selection of free bookplates to help get your own personal library organized

And get all those recipes you’ve been printing out + collecting in one place while you’re at it!

Take-out menus, too…

You’ve seen The Fantastic Mr. Fox, now check out the making of the movie in this book

A pretty reminder that love really is all around us…

Yet another fun Valentine printable for everyone and anyone

Happy Weekend!

Lehel Kovacs.

There’s something about black line drawings with large fields of color that make me stop and stare each and every time. If it involves buildings and killer architecture there might even be a little drool involved. Budapest-based Lehel Kovacs has both down with his google street views series. He even threw in some pretty hand-drawn type, taking it to over the top awesome. {via ink + wit}

12 Books in a Box.

12 Books in a Box would make my life so organized that it would hurt. Perfect for keeping a journal, a sketch diary, or just about anything else. They’re covered with handmade paper and come snuggled into a little box for safekeeping. I hate it when my notebooks/journals/sketchbooks get all tattered and would love pulling out a fresh new one each and every month!

Tiny Little Chairs.

I’ve finally found the perfect necklace for a modern design geek such as myself. Tiny Little Chairs is a series of collectable pendants celebrating mid-century design. Each pendant represents a vintage chair that revolutionized design as we know it today. The first series consists of five chairs: The Scoop Chair, The Pavilion Chair, The Dining Chair, The Work Chair. All are available in solid gold, silver and bronze. {via Design Milk}

Ice Day.

{via ffffound}

I’m taking an Ice Day today. That’s right, ice, not snow. Equally beautiful but significantly more dangerous. (And unfortunately, no bike riding!) Everyone in the Oklahoma/Texas area stay safe and I’ll see you all tomorrow!

Orange Side Car.

{photo and cocktail recipe There’s a Newf in My Soup!}

Because it’s 5 o’clock somewhere…

Orange Side Car
• 1/2 C brandy
• 2 Tbsp Triple Sec
• 3 Tbsp freshly-squeezed lemon juice
• 3 Tbsp orange juice

Combine in shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a couple of cocktail glasses.

Spratters & Jayne Scarves.

I was lucky enough to miss the first massive winter storm that rolled through OKC Christmas Eve, but I don’t think I’m going to have the fates on my side come Thursday. Yup, another one. With lots of snow and ice. Which immediately takes me back to my days growing up in Pennsylvania and throws me into Winter Mode: lots of layers with a heavy coat, hat, mittens and a scarf. Particularly one of these scarves from Spratters & Jayne. They’re handmade from 100% Peruvian Highland wool and come in three styles: cowl, lapel and tube. So chic it hurts.
