Photographer Crush: Max Wanger.

Everyone is crushing on Max Wanger. And with very good reason - his engagement and wedding photography is stellar. As in super galactic stellar. As in I'd rather spend $100 on my non-existent wedding and a million on a photo shoot with him. Yeah, that kind of great.

The Daily Eat: Thai Son-in-law Eggs.

I've never come across anything like Thai Son-in-law Eggs and my curiosity is sufficiently piqued! They look incredibly flavorful and would be tasty over rice as well as on their own. They also would have been a great way to use up leftover hard-boiled eggs from Easter.

Coffee Cup Cookie Cutters.

These coffee cup cookie cutters are super smart. Punch out your sugar cookies with them, then after they're baked and ready hook them over your coffee or teacup for presentation!

On the Rocks: Clover Club Cocktail.

The Clover Club Cocktail has quite a history dating back to at least 1911 and possibly before. Anything that's hung around for that long has an obvious reason! Make sure to check out the other variations of this cocktail as well - The Royal Clover Club and Bitter Clover Leaf.

Ingredients:
- Juice of 1/2 lemon or lime
- 1/3 grenadine (1 part)
- 2/3 dry gin (2 parts)
- 1 egg white

Place all ingredients in cocktail shaker along with ice. Shake well and strain into glass.

Two quick notes on the use of raw eggs in cocktails: 1) There's nothing to worry about as long as you use fresh eggs from a reliable source. I used fresh organic brown eggs. 2) When using egg whites in cocktail recipes, I prefer to do a dry shake (shake egg white by itself) first for 30 seconds to 1 minute in order to really froth the white, before adding the remaining ingredients and shaking again.

The Daily Eat: English Custard.

The idea is to eat this English Custard warm. Sounds just right for a rainy day like today - perfectly comforting and indulgent.

The first in a series of secret message envelopes, It's Okay comes as a sealed envelope. The message is only revealed when help up to a window or light. Fab idea.

up up creative.

I discovered up up creative a few weeks ago via Twitter and find that I keep coming back to her fun and modern designs. Invitations, cards, printables - you name it. And can I just say that I love when people understand the meaning of white space?!

PS: Check out her profile for the story behind the shop's name - so cute!

The Daily Eat: Huevos Rancheros.

Huevos Rancheros are all over the place throughout Oklahoma, Texas and the southwest. And even though Smitten Kitchen argues that her version is flat out "fugly" and inauthentic I have to kindly disagree. They look nothing short of mouthwatering and amazing.

Repurposed Glass Pop Bottles.

I have a few glass pop bottles (NOTE: pop, not soda!) I've saved and like this idea for repurposing them. After cleaning the bottles well attach pour tops and house your dish soap, vinegar, oil or whatever else around the kitchen.

Jan von Holleban's Dreams of Flying series literally made me scream things out loud like "That's so dreamy!" and "Ooh, I love that!". Seriously. Okay fine, I was screaming them in my head but that's gotta count for something, right?! Stop by and check out the rest of von Holleban's portfolio at his site.

The Daily Eat: Deep Dish Quiche.

Maybe I should have considered having Egg Week closer to Easter. But I've never been the best at timing.

I adore breakfast for dinner and love dishes that can be eaten any time of day. Deep Dish Quiche fits that bill perfectly. A nice flakey crust filled with all that deliciousness is yummy at any time of day.

Win It: Unique Jewelry by YellowGoat.

There's no better way to kick off yet another monotonous Monday than with a giveaway, wouldn't you agree? So let's do it!

This week you have the chance to win your very own pair of gorgeous Vinea and Folium earrings from YellowGoat. Vinea and Folium is latin for "vine and leaf" which is fitting - the design of these earrings was inspired by a trip to a fishing village with lawns full of vines! Each earring is two parts, a small vine pendant and a larger leaf charm. I'd wear them to dress up for a night out or to the inevitable summer wedding. So pretty!

You know the drill: visit YellowGoat's shop and comment back with which piece you like best. YellowGoat herself will choose the winner. You have until next Monday, May 4th at noon CST, to leave your comment. Please include your email address or you will not be eligible when the winner is chosen. The winner will be announced shortly after.

Good luck!

Happy Weekend.

This week went awesomely fast and the weekend is supposed to be beautiful. Well, at least until Sunday evening when some storms are supposed to roll in. Make time to enjoy the warmth that's passing through the country this weekend! So far mine is looking amazingly low-key and unplanned. And I'm loving it.

This Weekend:
• plan out landscaping for my front yard
• wash car
• visit the Festival of the Arts
• sketch and draw

Happy Weekend!
