Happy {Super Bowl} Weekend.
I have yet to get back into a normal schedule after the holiday madness. Yes, yes, you’re completely right – the holidays were over a month ago. I just can’t seem to make it all the way back into the swing of things regardless. Maybe I’ve just got a case of the Winter Blahs.
This Weekend:
• watch the OKC Thunder game tonight with C
• finish triptych for wall over bed
• laundry(!)
• mail Valentines
• Super Bowl party at B’s (Here we go Steelers!)
• pay speeding ticket (eek!)
Happy {Super Bowl} Weekend!

Round Up: Super Bowl Treats.
It’s safe to say that I’m one of the biggest Steelers’ fans in Oklahoma. And come Sunday I’ll be making a fool out of myself – sporting my Jerome Bettis #36 jersey and Terrible Towel of course – at my friend B’s Super Bowl party. But we all know attire is only half the battle, the food is equally important. That’s why I’ve rounded up five of my favorite go-to game day eats. Take a look-see…

The Daily Eat: Oatmeal Banana Cake.

Oatmeal Banana Cake that’s slightly unexpected.
(Here’s a hint: the oatmeal is in the crust, not the cake!)

Mad Props: January.
Posts from the first month of 2009 were awesome! Maybe I was just burnt out on the holidays, but there was so much fresh-ness out there and inspiration was running rampant. Enjoy January’s Mad Props!

Ornamented Metal Lace Drain.
As a general rule drains are kinda gross things. They’re not really “fun” things that you can jazz up and renovate to your little heart’s content.
Oh wait, yes they are.
Take your sink to a whole new level with designer Joana Meroz’s ornamented metal lace drains.

The Daily Eat: Amish Baked Oatmeal.

According to the original poster of this recipe for Amish Baked Oatmeal “it’s like eating a cookie for breakfast” – who doesn’t want that?!

Medical Nameplates.
Take boring, tacky jewelry that shares your medical needs/condition and turn it into something to be worn as a statement. Something to be (dare I say it?) proud of. But that’s exactly what Hello! We Are _______. did with their medical nameplates and I couldn’t love the resulting necklaces and bracelets more!
